Venue Review: The Pleasant Underground

The Pleasant Underground

By Jaemyn Moore

On Oct. 28 a cozy house show venu named the Pleasant Underground hosted a show featuring 5 of Michigan's top local bands.

The bands featured at the Pleasant Underground were The Casper Fight Scene, a midwest emo band out of marquette. Antighost, a high energy emo grunge band out of Detroit. Spacecadet, who bring an indie psychedelic rock sound, while being based out of Detroit. No Fun Club, Style themselves as making slacker rock. Something Missing, rounding it all together with a pop punk/emo style. The venue not only serves as a way for local bands to get heard, it also makes for a great place to spend a night.

The Pleasant Underground has stage lights which give it a big show feel. While still keeping an intimate vibe with the crowd and still having enough room to breathe. If that wasn't enough to hook you in, free snacks were also given at the venue.
